Role-based team dashboards inside your business platform

The short answer

Monvell builds role-based dashboards inside your platform that show each person what needs attention today: new inquiries, open tasks, today's appointments and stalled opportunities. These are working views for running the day, separate from the business-wide reporting covered under Data + Reporting.

At a glance
  • Dashboard design for each role on your team
  • Live widgets for inquiries, appointments, tasks and opportunities
  • Click-through from every item to its record
  • Overdue and stalled item alerts

What is a working dashboard?

A working dashboard is the first screen a team member sees when they open the platform. It answers one question: what do I need to do right now? A front desk view might show unanswered messages and today's arrivals. A sales view might show open quotes that need a follow-up. A manager view might show what is overdue across the team.

These views pull directly from the platform's records, so they are always current and every item links to the record behind it.

Views we commonly build

Each view is designed with the people who will use it.

  • New and unanswered inquiries by channel
  • Today's and tomorrow's appointments
  • Tasks due and overdue by person
  • Open quotes and proposals waiting on a follow-up
  • Opportunities that have not moved in a set number of days
  • Unpaid invoices and pending deposits
  • Team workload at a glance for managers

How this differs from business reporting

Working dashboards help people act today. Business reporting, covered in our Data + Reporting solution, answers bigger questions: which channels bring revenue, how close rates are trending and where the business is heading. The two share data but serve different decisions.

Keeping them separate keeps each one simple. A person checking their day should not have to scroll past charts to find their next call.

How do we decide what goes on each dashboard?

We sit down with the people who will use each view and ask what they check first every morning, what they wish they had known sooner and what they ask other people for. The answers tell us what belongs on the screen. Anything that does not lead to an action today usually belongs in a report instead.

We keep each view to a handful of panels and sort them by urgency, so the most time-sensitive work is at the top. Every number is clickable, which means a count of five overdue tasks opens those five tasks. After a few weeks of real use we review the views with the team, remove what nobody looks at and add what they keep asking for. Simple views that people trust beat detailed ones that people ignore.

Signs it is time to fix this

Each person starts the day by checking four tools to find their work.
Managers ask for status updates because they cannot see them.
Overdue tasks are discovered only when a customer complains.
The platform's default home screen shows nothing your team uses.
