Private dining and reservation systems for restaurants

A private dining booking can equal several nights of a single table, and the guests who ask about it usually ask a few restaurants. We help your restaurant answer fast, quote clearly and get every detail to the kitchen right.

Monvell builds restaurant private dining and reservation systems that answer event inquiries quickly, set clear minimums and deposits, and pass every allergy and dietary note to the kitchen. We also build the search presence, reviews and guest follow-up that keep tables full through slower weeks.

What matters most

What matters most to a restaurant with private dining

A restaurant earns on covers, and private events and repeat guests fill the nights that walk-ins do not. Fast private event replies, accurate guest notes, reviews and seasonality drive the numbers.

01

Private event inquiries answered while they are still shopping

People planning a rehearsal dinner, team dinner or birthday often email several restaurants the same day. If the reply waits for the events manager's next shift, another room may already be held.

How we support itPrivate dining requests get an instant reply with room options, capacity, your food and beverage minimum and menu packages, plus a link to hold the date or set a call.
02

Allergies and dietary notes that reach the kitchen

A guest's allergy written in a reservation note or an email is only useful if the server and kitchen see it. The FDA lists nine major food allergens, and guests expect a restaurant to take each one seriously.

How we support itReservation and event forms ask every guest the same allergy and dietary questions, and the answers are attached to the booking and event order your kitchen works from.
03

Minimums, deposits and terms that are clear up front

Private events usually carry a food and beverage minimum, a deposit, a service charge and a guest count deadline. Surprises on the final bill lead to disputes and bad reviews.

How we support itProposals spell out minimum, deposit, service charge and cancellation terms from templates you approve, and the deposit is paid online when the client signs.
04

Reviews and repeat guests through every season

Diners choose restaurants by reviews and photos, and the slow weeks after holidays need regulars to come back. Both depend on staying in touch with guests who already enjoyed a meal.

How we support itAfter a visit or event, guests who opted in get a thank-you and a review request, and later invitations to seasonal menus, wine dinners and holiday bookings.
The challenges

What holds restaurants and private dining businesses back?

01

Event requests land in the general inbox

Private dining inquiries mixed with vendor emails and job applications can sit for days before the right person sees them.

02

Holiday parties book early

Corporate holiday dinners and December weekends fill weeks ahead, and restaurants that start marketing late get the leftover dates.

03

Guest details are scattered

Reservation platforms, point-of-sale data and event emails each hold part of the guest picture, which makes marketing to regulars hard.

04

Reviews arrive faster than replies

Reviews come in across Google and other sites, and a thoughtful, timely reply takes time that service does not leave.

Before you ask

What restaurants and private dining teams ask us first.

The concerns we hear most, answered up front.

QWill this conflict with our reservation platform?

No. Your reservation platform keeps handling tables. We build around it, connecting where it allows, and handle what it does not cover well, such as private event inquiries, proposals, deposits and guest follow-up.

QCan we text guests about reservations and events?

Yes, with their consent. Federal rules such as the TCPA require consent for marketing texts, and carriers require A2P 10DLC registration for business texting. We capture consent on your forms, register your texting and keep a record of every opt-in and opt-out.

QWho is responsible for allergen handling?

Your kitchen and your food safety practices. What we build makes sure allergy and dietary information is collected the same way every time and shows up on the reservation or event order where your staff will see it.

QWill review requests look like we are buying reviews?

No. We send the same simple request to every guest after their visit, with no incentives and no screening out unhappy guests first. Google's review policies prohibit both, and the FTC's 2024 rule bans incentives that depend on a positive review.

QDoes this cover our liquor license or event alcohol?

No. Alcohol licensing and service rules belong to your business and its licensed staff. Event proposals can list bar packages and minimums exactly as you set them.

Questions

Restaurants and Private Dining questions, answered.

All questions

It is the least a group agrees to spend on food and drinks to reserve a private room. If the bill comes in under it, the difference is usually charged as a room fee, which should be stated in the contract.

Most do, because a private room held for one group cannot be sold to others that night. State the deposit amount, how it applies to the final bill and your cancellation terms in writing.

Give private dining its own web page with rooms, capacity, sample menus and an inquiry form, and answer requests within minutes. Promote holiday parties, rehearsal dinners and corporate dinners ahead of their booking seasons.

Reply promptly and calmly, thank the guest, address the specific issue without arguing and invite them to continue the conversation privately. Future guests read the reply as much as the review.
